Showcasing strong viewer analytics during the ongoing IPL season, Sports Yaari crosses 1.1 million views in 48 hours
Sushant Mehta talks about his new venture and his vision for Sports Yaari:
- Being a successful journalist for 15 years and redefining journalism, what is the reason behind into an entrepreneur?
With the launch of Beast Studios, I want to bring back the neutral voice of reporting in stories that matter the most. For me, the important thing is listening to the audience and giving them what they want, rather than news stories being a piece of one-sided information. Today, the audience whats to know the why’s, how’s, and the in-depth explanations to connect with the stories on a personal level and this is exactly what I envision to achieve with Beast Studios.
- Why did you choose a digital platform for launching your channel?
Beast Studios is launched on YouTube & other digital platforms; we will be showcasing all story formats – Entertainment, Sports, Chat shows, Music, Comedy, OTT series and shows, and Anime. YouTube being one of the most popular social media platforms, provides an opportunity to reach out to a wider audience. Unlike the traditional TV channels, YouTube also allows our audience to react to our content, this is extremely important for us. At Beast Studios, we ‘listen’ and ‘interact’ with our viewers and then curate meaningful content.
- What are the factors behind a quick jump in subscribers in just 2 weeks of launching Sports Yaari?
I am elated with Sports Yaari, an exclusive sports channel of Beast Studios crossing the 100K subscriber mark in just 2 weeks. Our strong content with a deep understanding of our audience has helped us achieve this. At Sports Yaari, we believe in following the demands of the viewers. YouTube gives us a platform to interact with our viewers and strategize our content. This has even helped us cross 1.1 million views per 48 hours, we should be garnering 1million views per day by next week. Honestly, our numbers have very pleasantly surprised us. The watch time, subscriber growth, views, time spent: every important metric has seen an astronomical growth – and it is all organic. We have not spent a single rupee on marketing, which shows the bond we share with our audience.
- What are your future plans?
After the launch of ‘Sports Yaari’, we plan to hit off the entertainment and chat shows too. We also plan to expand the team and join hands with people who have a similar mindset for journalism of the future. Content creators & honest journalists are always welcome at Beast studios.
In an exclusive interview, the wrist-spinner talks about the upcoming IPL season, the Gabba Test win, and his dismal performance in the England ODIs
New Delhi [India] 5th April 2021: Reminiscing Team India’s historic win in the Gabba Test, the young Indian Spinner, Kuldeep Yadav in an exclusive interview on Sports Yaari revealed that even though he was not a part of Playing XI, this was the biggest series of his cricketing career. He along with the Indian Coach, Ravi Shastri, and the rest of the team was quite emotional after the historic series win. Kuldeep said, ‘Ravi Shastri broke down in tears of joy and the hero of the victory, Rishabh Pant was also very emotional’.
Talking about his current form and the team selection of Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2021, Yadav said,” This time our team is well balanced, and with Harbhajan Singh’s selection, the team will get an edge. I am happy that we have new promising players in the team and with this confidence, I am sure that we will win the trophy this time.”
Kuldeep Yadav is confident that he will bounce back and improve his game. In the upcoming season of the IPL, his motto is to enjoy the game and help KKR lift the IPL trophy for the third time.
Having a rich experience in varied cricket formats, Yadav’s recent performance at the England ODI has been disappointing. On his current form, he said, ‘It was difficult to take wickets in this series, so my focus was to take down as many as I can. The gameplay of the opposite team was fearless. My rhythm was not up to the mark during the first ODI against England, however, I got better as the game progressed. But, after the three sixes in an over from Ben Stokes, it dented my economy rate”
